EMC launches EkoAward 2009 EkoAward2009_A4E_brochure.pdf In order to build excellence amongst students pursuing careers in environmental management, the Environmental Management Centre (EMC) launched a scheme captioned EkoAward. The objective of this scheme is to complement existing post graduate level programmes on environmental management and allied areas. We believe that EkoAward will help the student in not only excelling in academics, but also in putting the modern concepts of environmental management into practice. An EkoAward is a process of engagement between the selected student and EMC. The selected student receives a book -grant, e-learning courses, mentor support, internships and career counseling. In addition, a free registration is provided at a 4-day Finishing School that covers frontier topics not generally addressed in a typical post-graduate curriculum. An Advisory Board consisting eminent personalities has been set up for selecting students for the EkoAward. EkoAward scheme was launched in 2008. Six students across the country were selected as EkoAwardees on a competitive basis. The EkoAward Scheme for 2009 is now announced. You may download the poster (designed to be printed on A4 size paper) that describes the details, application requirements, process of selection and the Advisory Board. The last date for application is May 1, 2009. |
